About Lowell – Real Estate Professional in CA, United States
Born and raised on a farm in the Red River Valley of West Central Minnesota, Lowell Dean Gytri earned his B.A. degree in Theatre at Minnesota State University, Moorhead. At the age of 22, accompanied by his bride Sharon Marie, Lowell traveled west in hot pursuit of Hollywood stardom. After 34 years in the hunt, Lowell is still not a movie icon, but enjoys a successful career in motion pictures, television, stage, and national commercials. Lowell is a member of Screen Actors Guild, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, and Actors Equity Association. TV action adventure fans will remember him as Captain J.P. Wyatt, the smooth-talking pilot from the Universal Action Pack Series, Team Knight Rider.
Lowell expanded his horizons by earning an M.B.A. and teaching Finance at CSULA. He is the founder and owner of Charger Private Investigations, a Big Bear based investigative services firm. Lowell’s experience as a professional actor served him well as an investigator and celebrity protection professional for numerous (and notorious) Hollywood personalities.
Lowell and his wife Sharon, a language arts teacher with Apple Valley Unified School District, chose the Big Bear Valley to raise their two children, Lisa and Brett. Lisa, Valedictorian of the Big Bear High School class of 1999 and Junior Olympian for the Snow Summit Race Team, earned an M.E.T. Degree from Montana State University, Bozeman and works as a mechanical engineer with a high tech company located in ‘the Silicon Forest’ of Oregon. Brett, honor student and a member of the winning BBHS Cross Country team, graduates from University of California, Santa Barbara, in 2007 in the field of pharmacology.
Lowell and Sharon personally built their Sugarloaf ‘country estate’ from the ground up and are continually improving and adding on. The most recent addition to the compound is a compact production studio nestled in the trees behind the main house.
A country boy at heart, Lowell believes that home and land ownership truly is the American dream. As a Broker/Associate of Premier Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, Lowell is delighted to have the opportunity to share his experience and knowledge of the Big Bear Valley with his clients and assist them in ‘living the dream.’
